Alluring and intense fragrance of cherry, tar, roses and violet with underlying restrained French oak. Rich supple fruit with wonderfully silky texture firm ripe tannins drive through a beautifully balance and long finish..
Longview Vineyard is planted to a number of different Nebbiolo clones. Based on clonal selection with a superior track record, a selection of clones has been selected for this Riserva project, which strives to produce the most essential and refined character of this variety in our vineyard. This is only our third ever bottling of the Reserve Nebbiolo in 10 years.
The growing season in 2014 was optimal for the late-ripening Nebbiolo. Summer was hot and the end of the season extended into cooler, moderate autumn. Ripened bunches were hand picked (berry sorted). Chilled and then vilified using traditional techniques.
The wine is matured in a 6 and 7 years old 300 litre French oak casks nd bottled without fining and filtration.

94 Points - James Halliday's Wine Companion 2018. "It certainly comes in a handsome bottle, and is equally certainly varietal. The tannins stay under control, and there are violets and rose petal aromas. It's on the edge of greatness, and would be a fine match for all foods italian."
94 Points - Tony Love's Top 100 Wines 2017. "It opens with a delightful red rose fragrance and lovely oaky spice then, as you sip a bit further, a light, gastronomic bitters note appears as the palate tracks with a bit of grunt though still with a bright step. Decanter or cellar for further pleasure.
