• Makkas White 2014

A multi-varietal wine produced by mixing Chardonnay with Xynisteri and aged in French oak barrels. The combination of exotic fruits from the one and a freshness from the other creates a fresh, fruity wine. Medium body with good acidity. Aromas of pineapple and banana with flavours of vanilla. Serve at 10-12 ° C. 


Grapes are sourced from the vineyards situated in all Paphos Area (Letimbou, Choulou, Polemi and Statos-Agios villages). The vineyards are of attitude (Chardonnay) 450-650m, (Xynisteri) 850-1100m, where the density of vines are approximately 3000 per hectare, at average yields of 40HI/Ha. The average age of productive vines are (Chardonnay) 15 years and( Xynisteri) 50 years.

Harvesting period is between the 10th-20th August for Chardonnay and between 30th September - 25th October for Xynisteri, and in September for Semillon. The grapes are destemmed and crushed, fermented at thermo-controlled temperate of 14˚C, with an average cryoextraction time of 6-8 hours. Aging takes place 40% in French oak barrels for 3 months.
