95 Points, 5 Stars by Bob Campbell. Creamy, concentrate Riesling with just a hint of fruit sweetness that is neatly balanced by chalky acidity to give a little tension and a drying finish. Lime, wild flowers and oyster shell mineral characters are evident. Aromas of orange blossom and ripe nectarine. This wine will age for many years after release.
A relatively warm growing season by cool climate standard. The fruit ripened with wonderful concentrated flavours. Harvested at 20.5 degrees Brix the fruit was hand-picked and very gently pressed. The juice was fermented in stainless steel at cool temperature over 21 days. Following aging on light lees the wine was bottled under strictly anaerobic conditions to retain its freshness. Cellared for 3.5 years prior to release.
"Riesling is one of the great white wines of the world that rewards those with patience and continually challenges and inspires me as a winemaker" - John Belsham, winemaker.
Enjoy as an aperitif or with food.
