Tenuta Il Palazzo Chianti RISERVA D.O.C.G 2016

Deep, persistent white spices fragrances, slightly tannic with deep ruby-red colour, becoming garnet red during the aging.  Spicy aromas with hints of leather and red cherry lead to a firm, cherry-driven palate with bright acidity and pretty dried herb notes. 

Winemaking

This traditional Chianti Riserva is aged in oak casks yielding a distinctive, strong character which is complemented by a delicate structure; a result of the master craftsmandship of the Banelli family. 

Like all Chianti, this Riserva is made mostly from Sangiovese, a grape that offers bright, herb-flecked cherry flavours. A dash of Canaiolo, a fragrant, traditional blending partner to Sangiovese, and Merlot, whose plummy depth softens the wine, are added.
